We're Excited to announce

With our name change has also come an affiliation with the Finger Lakes Youth Football & Cheerleading League (Finger Lakes League)! We look forward to our new partnership with the Finger Lakes League and the opportunities it allows our football players and cheerleaders. 

As we looked to the future of our youth football program, we realized it would become increasingly difficult to field teams with Pop Warner’s player age regulations. As a smaller community, we wanted to make playing football and cheer open and available to all kids who wanted to play. Because of this, we made the tough decision to amicably part ways after many great years with Pop Warner. 

While scouting a league that would be a good fit for Cazenovia Youth Football and Cheer, now and in the future, it quickly became apparent that the Finger Lakes League was right for us. We share the same goals: to give children the opportunity to play a team sport, to learn the fundamentals of football and cheerleading in a safe environment, and to have fun while doing it! In the Finger Lakes League, players are broken down into grade-level groups, which broadens player eligibility to include anyone who wants to participate.
